Thank you for sharing this. It really made me think about how often we try to hide our struggles, fears, and even our sins from God, even though He already sees and knows everything about us. It reminded me of Adam and Eve hiding in the garden after they sinned, yet God still came looking for them with mercy and compassion. O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me Psalm 139:1. What encourages me most is knowing that God does not bring things into the light to shame us, but to heal, restore, and draw us closer to Him. The safest place we can be is not hiding from God, but resting in Him. Thou art my hiding place and my shield Psalm 119:114. I also believe this points us back to Jesus because through Him we are forgiven, covered by grace, and no longer condemned. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. So many people hide behind appearances or religion while carrying heavy burdens inside, but God desires honesty, repentance, and a genuine relationship with Him. Thank you again for sharing such a thoughtful message. It was a beautiful reminder that even though God sees everything, His love and mercy still invite us to come near to Him with open hearts.
Thank you for the comment! I think that "God sees everything" whenever I am tempted to be over-awed with meeting someone in "authority". I think it is more important to be over-awed with God and not some man. I can also discern that some who profess to be his, may not even know Him, when they hide what they do thinking that they can get away with something. But it is comforting to know that God sees everything and is with us, regardless of our feelings!
Amen, that is such a wise and grounded perspective. It is so easy for people to become overly impressed or intimidated by earthly authority, titles, influence, or outward appearances, yet Scripture continually reminds us that God alone truly sees the heart and deserves our deepest reverence. The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe Proverbs 29:25. I also appreciate your point that some people may outwardly profess faith while secretly living as though God does not see their actions, motives, or hidden sin. But nothing is hidden from the Lord. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight Hebrews 4:13. At the same time, as you beautifully said, that truth is also deeply comforting for believers because the same God who sees all things is also near to His people in every circumstance. Even when emotions fluctuate or seasons feel uncertain, His presence remains constant. I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee Hebrews 13:5. What peace there is in knowing that God fully sees, fully knows, and still faithfully walks with His children through every season of life. Thank you again for sharing this thoughtful reflection. It is such an important reminder to keep our eyes fixed on the Lord above all else.
Their bunkers will become their tombs.
Yes! Very easily! Thanks for the comment.
